Core banking project
Development of a Front and Back Office application for a leading bank.
A large-scale system that handles the bank's deposits, account management etc. Developed using cutting edge technology. The Java user interface runs on Windows clients while the server side is handled by CICS running on OS/390.

SWIFT handling with STP and SwiftAlliance
An automatic Payments and Money Transfer system designed and implemented entirely by Datamation for a mid-sized bank. The application handles incoming and outgoing SWIFT messages. Utilizing STP mechanisms and workflow rules enabled the bank to reduce the cost of message handling and increase their throughput. Developed in Java, the host resides on AS/400 while the clients run on Windows.

Swift handling with MERVA
Designed and implemented the bank's Money Transfer system using SWIFT messages. The application runs on windows clients and OS/390 server. Utilizing Datamation's Swift parser and Validator, works hand in hand with IBM's MERVA system minimizing users double entries. Automatic accounting transactions and advanced communication mechanisms were key design requirements.

Bank Loans with ad hoc creation
Development of an integrated application that is capable of handling all types of loans. This was a large project that allows creation of new loan products dynamically by the user, the use of different currencies and the monitoring and observation of the entire loan life-cycle. Final implementation was as a Three-tier Client/Server application on Windows, AS/400, using Visual Basic, Distributed Objects and SQL Server.

Dealing room
Designed and developed a dealing room application that handles the Banknotes stock of the bank and provides a more effective way to process the "buy" or "sell" deals. The ability to utilize intensive Excel reporting to provide detailed statistical analysis was an important design goal.

Credit bureau company

• Application support and customer helpdesk for a continuously expanding network of 400 users.
• Design, implementation and support of custom-made Credit Information application currently installed in many of the company's customers. It is a «Distributed objects» application, developed in Visual Basic using DCOM for Win95/98, WinNT, AS/400 and SQLServer.

Large multinational retail corporation
Development and maintenance of medium sized application for a large multinational company internal use. (AS/400, Cobol/400, DB/400).

Leading Motor company 
Analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of automobile loans and accounts receivable application for the credit company subsidiary of a leading motor manufacturer. The application operates on AS/400.

Stock Market
DATAMATION and IBM Cyprus successfully collaborated in the rapid development of a new stock market portal. Our experience and expertise assisted in the production of a sound e-business solution that utilizes the latest web tools (WebSphere studio) and technologies for online customer transactions and tasks.

Chemical and Waste management
An international project for which Datamation was responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of a system that managed chemical information and waste. A large-scale application that was designed, developed and implemented as a Three-tier Client-Server architecture with distributed databases, Lotus Notes messaging and support for NLS and DBCS.

IBM

For many years, Datamation have worked closely with IBM on the development of numerous projects. This established relationship has proven beneficial for both companies and the following list of the projects provides a good indication of the extent of Datamation's expertise.

• Analysis, design and implementation of various IBM internal financial applications such as Ledger Systems, Distribution, Billing and others operating OS/390 and developed using different languages and tools.

• Datamation has also been responsible for the maintenance of a number of internal IBM systems. These included Proposal and Contract Management, Billing System, Invoicing, Distribution, Education, Personnel applications and others. They were used in various EMEA countries. The responsibilities include problem determination and analysis, analysis and implementation of problem corrections, design and implementation of new Business Requirements, helpdesk, and crisis management.
